Cool-blue Rhythm 2014 Giant Anthem Advanced 27.5 1 | Weight and general set up

So my new2014 Giant Anthem Advanced 27.5 1 should arrive this week.

I'm super buzzed about receiving it as well. I'm got the new pedals, cages, grips and the seat ready to slap on and looking to share any details you may need on it. I'm getting a large which I already know weights 23.8 lbs once built up. (based on this Facebook post http://on.fb.me/1d7bWs4)

Hoping this thread can be a place for sharing shock set ups , shock pressure, drive train etc

I'll post pics once she's in.

Nice, I just completed building up my Anthem 3 27.5, aluminum frame model, and with stock fork and shock I am at 23.35#. When I upgrade my fork from the Recon Gold to a SID I'll be in the high 22# range.

2014 Giant Anthem Advanced 27.5 1 | Weight and general set up

Waiting on 14 Anthem 27.5 1 and looking for pedals. Anyone know what spindle size I should be looking at? 1/2" or 9/16"
    Cheers,

@madsedan, Is that a complete build weight? If so, that seems a little off from other reports.

Yep, with a nice 1x10 build, no front der or shifter, I'll put up pics and build later today, but its an expensive list.

2014 Anthem Advanced 27.5 0 series was 21lb 15oz, size medium, with Schwalbe tires converted to tubeless and no pedals. Added XTR Trail pedals and weight is 22-lb 12-oz ready to ride. Ordered a 2014 Speciaized Epic Carbon Marathon that was 25-11. Not happy with that - LBS swapped out for the Anthem and a little more $$. Still sorting out the details but like it so far. Coming off a Stumpjumper Carbon expert 29er that served me well. Wanted something a little lighter and snappier handling for the tight and sandy FL trails.
