2014 Contact Switch Seatpost does not stay down

I just installed a 2014 Giant Contact Switch seatpost with 100mm drop and absolutely love it. It was a cinch to re-route the cable for my frame and the lever feel / seatpost worked brilliantly for a ride. (I've had a Reverb in the past and the lever is just as smooth as the Reverb---even though it is cable actuated).

Anyhow, all was great until I dropped the post today and picked up my bike by the saddle and the post slid back up to full extension. It doesn't have a problem going down or locking midway down, but whenever I pick up the bike it slides back to the top of the travel.

Any ideas on this problem? Any fixes?

It's normal behavior for that seatpost - you dont' have anything to worry about.
Yes, it might be a bit annoying sometimes, but it's a minor thing.

I had Reverb and Xfusion and both exhibited similar behavior, only they'd drop back once you stop pulling on the saddle.
