Thanks guys! Its does ride realy well. Its the nicest bike I've ever own and I wanted to share with this forum as it inspired the build after I did a test ride. Weight wasn't the main driving force, but man I was super surprised with the end result. I am going to finish out this season of races on it, I do feel lighter and faster than my 26er Epic for sure. It does ride like a feather but i don't have to baby it, it seems!

Hey man, Thanks! I'm 6'2" with an inseam of roughly 35". I've raised the saddle slightly and moved the stem down a spacer. I left room to make adjustments. Normally I've ridden a slightly smaller bike for racing, 19", so I can throw it around. This is a true 20" Large. But the wheel base is shorter than on my Epic, the wheelbase on the XTC is I think 43.5" while the Epic is 45". This feels like a 26" hard-tail. Awesome bike!!

Did you buy it frame only from somewhere? It seems most places I've looked want to sell my the complete bike only.

I work at a shop and I was able to procure a frame. They sold this as a frameset that was black and grey with the same paint scheme. They usually don't produce a lot of the framesets so you have to get them earlier in the model release. I didn't want sram components and I wanted to build my own wheels, so I chose to build it up! Good luck! The new 2013 XTC SL frameset uses the advanced carbon found on the road bikes, lighter and stiffer. I like the ride of the composite though.

That's one sweet looking bike. I'm jealous. My XTC 2 weighs 27+ pounds. I bet it rides really nice.

Wow, that's 'road-bike' light. I just picked up a XTC composite 29er 1 and at stock it weighs 25lbs. Would love to shave an extra 5 pounds.
