    2012 Trance X4 Fork spring?

So long story short I am 255 loaded and my fork is to soft, I priced x-firm spring and its 25 bucks. While doing my homework I found that I can buy the factory air spring for the fork for 65 bucks. Would the air sping really be worth the upgrade? I have only been biking now for 5 months and am hooked, I plan on using this bike till tax time. Then thinking I am gonna sell and buy the new trance sx model. But I am torn, I love this ride just the fork and shock blow. I am wondering if a good fork and shock combo would make me rethink a new bike in total since this bike is only 5 months old and I love it. Me being so new I don't really know how bad the parts suck in comparison to high end units. And if I did decide to keep this ride what would the best combo be for around a k?

You don't get any choice as far as replacing the shock goes, unless you can find a second hand RP2 or RP23. The Rockshox Monarch line is the only aftermarket shock made in the right size (184x44).

I probably wouldn't bother upgrading the fork you have, you'd be better off to replace it with something that has better damping. A Sektor RL solo air or an X-Fusion Velver RL would go pretty nicely.
