´10,´11, Glory´s frame crack reports?
Hi there,
I am considering getting a new DH bike, and I am wondering about the durability of the Glory lineup from the 2010 models onwards. I want a bike that will take abuse for 5 years or more.
What was the ratio of broken frames, cracked?? Problems?
Can anyone share?
Thanks in advance for any insights,

not a single one?
I have seen many not broken but twisted like origami. And that worries not only because of the prices, but also safety.

Are you trying to start a rumour?

Does anyone get a crazy rattle in the rear end? (lol not trying to sound kinky btw)
My 2011 has a nasty rattle that I just can't troubleshoot. Everything is tight. It could be the chainguide. I noticed the lower guide on the MRP G2 was set to a 40t front cog, as opposed to the 38t which is what I am running, so the chain was a little loose. Add to that, the lower was actually broken and I have had to order a new one.
But I think it could be something else as well.
Anyone else had the same issue?
Scott? Being the shop guy and all

Actually no , not at all.
I am trying to get hands on information on how durable they are from riders that have ridden their glorys hard for some time now , before I pay the high price. And since I saw a few 2011 Glorys broken , it got me wondering...

First off define abuse. Shuttle every weekend, 100 days of riding Whistler, hucking to flat. You'll be hard to pressed to find many DH frames that can survive 5 years of abuse. That is asking a lot of any frame.
Considering Giant has a lifetime warranty I wouldn't worry about the frame durabilityGiant Bicycles | United States.

I have the 1st '10 Glory frame from Go-Ride and it's still going strong...and no rattles either. Not even a blown bearing yet. I have other bikes, so it doesn't get the days it deserves, but it's been ridden hard and put away dirty everywhere from Moab to Whistler. I love riding this bike. So versatile depending on setup.

They all crack where the top tube meets the seat tube. I am on my 3rd warranty frame, and know 4 others who have also cracked theirs. They have been really good with quick replacement though. I think this has been fixed for 2013.
