I had a WTB Laser on my bike and it was a great fit for my bottom... now I'm in the market for a new saddle and I'm evaulating the Devo: it has more or less the same width/length of the Laser and it seems a bit lighter. I'm wondering if the fit is similar: anybody who swapped a Laser for a Devo can comment?
I've used both. The Laser has more padding and the shell was more flexible on the one I had. The Devo is a nice saddle, but the shape is a bit different and it helps to wear a good pair of shorts. I am currently using the Devo on my SS bike. I'm standing at least half the time on that bike, so the cushioning isn't as important.
It's hard for me to give specific differences besides that. I bought the Devo used for $15 from a guy on our local MTB site. Hard not to try it at that price.
Don't do it. I'm a die-hard laser fan; many saddles on many bikes. Tried the devo on my singlespeed looking for a similar shape with a slimmer profile and lighter weight. Hard as a rock; good for some, not for me. If you like the laser, stick with the laser.
Thank you for your answers! At this point I don't know if I'm happy with the Laser for the shape or for the padding... I guess I'll go with another Laser!
