I've been calling and emailing Wingnut for about a week now and I haven't gotten any sort of response. Anybody heard from Scott/Wingnut/New Sun crew? When I call now, it goes straight to vm.

I've *never* been able to get decent email responses out of Wingnut. I tried emailing from Asia with questions and then product feedback, zero useful response.

I ended up getting packs via a great retailler who said that Wingnut is responsive to him, so maybe Wingnut just pick and choose how to spend their communication time.

In my experience- they make a great product, some of the best packs out there, but their customer service pretty much sucks.

On the other hand, I've had great CS experiences with Ergon.

Ooooooh. This does not sound good. Update from their website: http://wingnutdishwashersunion.com/

I have entered a year long treatment program for addiction. During this time I will not be able to send or receive mail. I'm sorry to people who ordered things and did not get them. It's very unclear whether I will keep playing punk rock music when that period of time is over. I wish that I knew more, but nothing is certain right now. Thank you for liking songs that I wrote, and helping me not feel so alone a lot of the time.

Sorry to hear of their issues, and hope they can work past them.

That said: I've had two of their packs. The first fell apart in six months. Required many, many re-stitching sessions. The mesh on the side disintegrated. The back padding fell apart. Finally gave up on it. Mailed them about my concerns, because the pack was damn comfortable despite the durability issues. Never heard anything back. This was several years ago.

Fast-forward to a couple months ago, when I decided to try one again. Same issues are cropping up, and I've already shelved the pack. Back to my trusty Camelbaks - maybe not the best, but they at least don't fall apart on me.

LOL that would suck if that were them.

But just to be clear for people that might actually get mislead from that... this is their actual website:

Yeah, comms are sporadic at best. But I've been happy with my (Enduro 3.0) pack, and I use it daily. Haven't been overly rough on it though.

Also would really like to try an Ergon brand pack in person just to see how much better it might feel.
