I have no real idea what you mean, I have never seen these in use, and can only assume they are for some branch of the sport I have never seen. I would suggest you check the make of your shoes and look for their website online...

These are the only ones I found with a quick Google search.

Toe spikes seem to be dying out... Not many new models being offered with them but with things like vibram soles and the like it makes sense.

Sidi and Garneau still offer toe spikes. I'm pretty sure Giro does also.

    EDIT: Special Ed does too.

Go to any sporting goods store and look for spikes for football/baseball/soccer cleats. They should fit. I used them on a pair of my shoes a while back. Might not be able to find metal ones, but the plastic ones work about as well.

the ones on my Lake shoes are identical to standard removable soccer cleats for soft surfaces. They even use the same wrench.

oh, and the soccer cleats are cheaper.

They used to be a big deal for me when I was new and would stall out on steep, slippery midwestern climbs. The toe spikes would dig in on hardpack clay where regular shoe tread would fail and slide out.

Trails aren't built like that anymore and I am a stronger rider so I mostly find them unnecessary. They are actually a bit of a bad idea on rock, too, esp metal spikes
