Whats up with the false advertising?

I've been looking for a good deal on an XX cassette, and everytime I come on here I have to see this add showing Cycling Express selling it for $197. Yet when I click on the add it shows a price of $331.16. Can we please get rid of this stupid fake ad that is constantly taunting me!

Good point. If the retailer doesn't have the integrity, mtbr needs to step up.

Funny you mention this. I clicked that ad yesterday for the same reason. Whatever you gotta do to drive traffic to your site I suppose.

mtbr is making money from those ads. They won't do anything about them.

I know what your saying....but....I kinda like the ads. Its site dependent, but here, those ads are sometimes where I find a deal or see something new (at least, new to me).

That said....crappy bs pricing games need to go away.

Let me check into this and get back to you. Often times it is a limited time sale price that doesn't get pulled when it should. I'll see what's up and report back.

Did anyone try to get the retailer to give the price in the ad?

If you go to the mtbr Hot Deals section, they have several "hot deals". Every single one of them is a higher price on their website when you click on it. Pretty lame.

I've clicked on that site a time or two myself. If I am not mistaken the advertised prices are in Australian dollars not US.
