The website shows it on the pump hose but give no explanation at all. Maybe you put your valve stem cap in it while you inflate the tire, or seal your bag of Doritos with it.

I've got an open bag of Doritos ready for it right now.

Does it maybe pinch the hose to help eliminate air from escaping when dismounting the nozzle?
    or
Hold the hose to a spoke so it's not flapping around while attached to your valve stem?

Seems that Cannondale won't be providing that much longer if it's of no use..lol

I bet it's for a Dunlop valve. It doesn't give you as much stem to grab, so you either have to screw on a Presta/Schrader adapter or use one of those clips.
    I just wanna ride....

Come on guys it's so simple. Maybe you need a refresher course. It's a fetzer valve unsticker. Gonna need a set of 30wt ball bearings and 10qts of antifreeze. Preferably prestone...no make that Quaker state.

It's just ANOTHER Cannondale gimmick... Ever since the "Alex Pong" bike (which never materialized) from 1994, I've always just thought of Cannondale as the hoax and gimmick company, and many of their products over the past two decades have served to confirm that opinion...
If more people rode more bikes, more places, more often, the world would be a more better place!

I bet that Cannondale Lefty fork gimmick will crash and burn anytime now. I mean seriously, who the he!l wants to ride a bike with half a fork up front?

That's what it's for. Dunlap, English, Woods valve. Different names, same valve.
