    Value Pedals

I'll be looking to replace my plastic pedals at some point.

I have an inexpensive bike and will not be looking to get a high end pair, but at the same time I'd like decent quality.

Can y'all recommend some solid pedals that won't break the bank?

    Much thanks in advance!

Good pedal technique will go way further than the spikiest of pedals. If you're not looking to spend a ton, set aside $25, and you should be able to get anything from a bear trap, to a quill, to a platform that will perform 'good enough'.

Tried and true Wellgo MG1. Ive been happy with them for ever. I recently gave the low profile wellgo MG5s a shot too, and while they may not grip quite as well as the MG1s, theyre lighter and feel very solid. So far so good. Maybe I can hit the pins with a grinder to coax a bit more grip from them.

I just ordered Wellgo MG1s and a cheapo Park pedal wrench. I don't have them on yet, of course.

I just bought some $29 Wellgos at my LBS, they're a great improvement over the plastic pedals that came on my bike.
