    Unknown Bike

I picked up a hybrid today for 100 bucks. Its brand name is Colorado High and model appears to be Outland. Reason I bought it is that its a 700C wheel, has an air port on the fork, Acera front der and deore rear. Brakes are just cheap vbrakes, aluminum frame, whole bike is extremely light 17 pounds. QR hubs that are marked shimano, no model, and shimano crank, no model but rings aren't riveted so its not the extra cheap one. Also it has a german bike store tag. The wear your helmet sticker is in german and it has the 2 yellow wheel reflectors typical of european bikes. Anyone ever seen or heard of these? I'll get pics up tomorrow once its daylight.

Sorry, looks like a cheap generic comfort bike.

Not sure I would have dropped $100 on it. Probably didn't retail for more than $300

It comes from a Austrian sports store chain called Sports2000. Search for: high colorado fahrrad or sports2000.at The newest model is 499.-

Cool, thanks.Im not to worried about it, Its not a dept store bike and is a pretty solid ride. It needs some cleaning and tuning for sure though. If someone in my family doesn't claim it and make it thiers I can easily put it on CL for 180-200 bucks and sell it fairly quickly. I dont know why but all bikes in my area over the past 2 months have been nuts. I just sold an UpLand Stinger for 100 and a Roadmaster for 85. And I paid 15 and 10 for them. LOL, All I did was clean, tune em, replace cables or tubes as necessary. I only had 35 in both bikes total when I sold them.

Yep you read that right. I thought it was really light when I picked it up but when I weighed it at home last night I was shocked. Even have done it a few more times. Its actually about 17 3/4. I dont have a scale big enough for total grams. Anyway my old trek hybrid steel frame is 34 and my wifes DB hybrid is 29. This thing is just unusually light and its not super high end comps doing it. Thinking about taking a super hard ride on it see if the frame cracks in half.
