    Trance X2 vs Range 3

Which one is better overall for its components? What about for it's climbing and descending ability?

They are pretty different.. 160mm vs 120mm travel. 66 HA vs 69 HA. One is more of an AM bike and one is more of a do-it-all, Trail bike. I think you need to decide how your going to ride, and what your trails dictate you need.

The 120mm, 69 HA is going to climb better, the 160mm is going to descend better. The 69 HA will turn quicker in tight and twisty trails. 66 more stable, but probably sluggish in tight turns.

The spec on the Tx is better, component/shocks wise, IMO. The Tx is a very good, do it all bike. Climbs well, and very stable going down.... and if you don't need a burlier 160mm of travel, with a slacker angles, it will be overkill on the downs, and tougher pedaling up.... but if you have very rough trails, with steep downs, and drops, and ledges... then you might need the160mm.

The Tx wins this IMO, unless you need an AM bike.

The Norco Fluid line is much more a direct comparison to the Trance than the Range is.
