Tire size limit for a Yukon fx, help !

I want to throw some Maxxis Ardents on my Yukon but I'm not sure if they will fit. The bike is stock and the tires I want to put are 26 x 2.25... Will I have an issue?

    thanks!

What size tires do you currently have ?
How much clearance is currently there with the seat stays and chain stays ?
How much clearance is currently there with the front derailleur on the small chainring ?

If you put on a tire that doesn't have much clearance it might rub if you buckle a wheel or break a spoke.

2.25 will easily fit up front, pretty sure will fit in the rear as well.

What's the size of the current tires ????? ( it's stamped on the sidewall )

If the size of the current tires was known you could compare the measurements of them to the tires you want.

    http://www.maxxis.com/Bicycle/Mountain/ardent.aspx

    26 X 2.25 ( 54/56-559 )

The 54/56 refers to how wide the tires are: 54mm to 56mm.
