I did a preliminary tax return and unless there is some miracle or gross error (neither of which is likely), I'm going to owe a good chunk of my hard-earned money to Uncle Sam come this April.
So... in order to help fund said chunk, I'm going to have to sell one of my bikes. The one that I keep will likely end up being my backup bike as I have a SC Highball that will be my main ride this year.
Which one would you sell?
I'm 41, mostly doing smooth single track (XC type) riding. Race occasionally (beginner class) but not to be competitive and likely will never be.
Details on the bikes:
2008 Cannondale Rush 650b
- RaceFace Next Carbon Cranks
-Juicy 7 brakes
- Stan's Crest 650b wheelset
- Spynergy 26" wheelset
Notes: I love the Rush, I love the Lefty, and love the wheel size, but I should be able to fetch more for it. It would be nice to have a full-cushy bike around for really long weekend rides (which I will do once a month during the summer). It is slightly too big for me, but still fun to ride.
2012 Kona Unit:
- stock, but have Rockshock XC32 fork. Would come with both forks.
- have geared dropouts
Notes: It it just a basic bike but I do really enjoy me some single speeding. The bike fits like a glove and is fun. Not going to get very much for it. I think this would make a nice complimentary bike, but then I'd have two hardtails.
If the Rush, do you sell it as a 650b, 26er, or both? I don't know how much marketability a 650b wheelset with a Cannondale Lefty hub will have on its own.
