    ROFL!!!!!

    Well played GOB, well played.

Last pic above the guy has a sense of humor, i give him credit. Middle pic? Guy's friends have a sense of humor. Bet your ass ive taken a mental note and will be doing something similar to the next moronic friend who winds up face down at the beach drunk mid day.

As a girl I think it is completely ridiculous to care about tan lines. However, I do care about skin cancer. So I have a potential solution for the OP that is terrified of walking on the beach with a cyclist's tan...

    Sun Sleeves:
Amazon.com : Eclipse Sun Sleeves : Athletic Shirts : Clothing

These block most harmful UV rays and help keep you cool while on the bike. No harmful UV rays = no tanlines. Problem solved.

I would still use sunscreen at the beach, though. A tan can be completely ruined by melanoma.

These days, all the cool kids want a #EnduroTan. Kneepads and 3/4 socks will do it.

    Tan lines-endurotan.jpg

    Although mine isn't a great example. I don't have a goggle tan.

Terrified? I made no mention of being terrified. I know the camp "where it with pride". That's not my camp. I'll drink a beer with the guys in that camp. Then I head back to the "Doesn't look ridiculous when my shirts off" camp and get a good nights sleep. The sun sleeves just may be the answer so thank you for that. As for all the fine pics that are being posted? You're all sick I tell ya! But I'm loving it!

Ah, got it........ when the shirts come off you prefer to be around guys who attend to the details, I've heard about these "camps".

I'm having a hard time following some folks interpretation of my post. I thought it was pretty clear but some peoples kids.... Anyway i may have found something where lots of folks enjoy little risk of tan lines. It's called the Annual World Naked Bike Ride. The only issue being it's not in the mountains. Now.. Let's cut with the thinly veiled innuendos. The original intent of this post was to, in a humourful way, find folks who love to mountain bike but could do without the tan lines. I'm a joker and a smart-ass and believe in "you only get what you give". I can honestly say that anything I post I'd say to the persons face. But enough about me..... Bring on the tan line pics!

That's ^^ all fine but there seems to be a BIGGER and more urgent issue at hand. Is your cat wearing a watermelon for a helmet ?
    why?

    How about a sweater?

    Tan lines-sweater.jpg

Seriously though, I have a couple long sleeve summer jerseys that offer UV protection. One from Performance and one from Nike (runners shirt).

Yea.... about the cat. Long story but I'll keep it short. Fuzzy comes from a long line of fainting cats. It doesn't matter how slight the noise is, oh... there he goes again, he faints. Or at least appears to. I wanted to protect his noggin and the only helmets that would fit are those novelty NFL helmets. Turns out he hates the NFL and wouldn't wear 'em. I had this thought "Skull, head, noggin.... melon!" That's it! So I biked on down to the local market, picked up a mini melon, carved it and the rest is history. Bonus is I love melons. All shapes and sizes. Melons for everyone I say! Spam, spam, spam, spam!!
