    super storm sandy bike damage

Well super storm sandy did a lot of damage, and now I finally have some time to give attention to my bikes. The crawl space had 4 feet of water and my 3 bikes were under salt water for about 24 hours. Right after the storm I quick washed them down with hose water, and shot them with some oil , but that is it. So much going on no heat no electric.
Fast fwd to today, what needs to be done?? some bolts have white dried salt, all spokes have a lot and a few spokes came out. brakes slip on one bike , scream like crazy on the other. love to ride but not much on repair. where should I start ? super storm sandy bike damage-dscn4252.jpg

I would start with an insurance claim so I can replace them with non trashed bikes. I would never ride any of them again, salt water = death.

If I was repairing them I'd start with the bearing ,wheels ,bottom bracket ,headset ,pedals. Then the chain and pivots for the derailuers and levers, cables and housings .And take a look at the linkage bushings/bearing.
