SPD cleat position
So here is my problem:
20 years ago I broke my tibia and fibula in a bike accident. My leg healed but I lost alot of the movement in my ankle. For the last few years I have been riding with Bontrager Race Mountain shoes, which I found very comfortable due to a SPD cleat which can be moved very far rear, between the ball and the arch of the foot, this takes the stress off my ankle. Now I need to buy a new pair of shoes but Bonty doesn't make my old style of shoe with a rear position cleat. I have looked at most of the MBR shoes and they all have cleat positions which are on or around the ball of the foot. Would anybody know of a shoe with a cleat position more towards the arch of the foot then the ball? I did try to modify a pair of new Bonty's but that didn't work out very well.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
