    Some Thoughts About Nutrition

Christoph Sauser's pre-ride meal: rice and coffee.

Do you guys know what telomeres are? How about oxidative, metabolic-induced free radical damage?

    I do.

    Here's my pre-ride meal:
1 quart of vegetable juice, 3 cups oats, 1/4 cup walnuts, tablespoon olive oil, 4 whole eggs (organic, free range), coconut oil, pomegranate juice.

    Vegetables include the following:
cauliflower, broccoli, collard greens, napa cabbage, carrots, yellow squash, zucchini, carrots, celery, bok choy, red bell pepper, brussel sprouts, beets, and fennel. I add 1 whole lemon and an apple for taste.

I'll have another quart of vegetable juice after my ride, similar to the vegetables listed, above.

My skin looks good, my resting heart rate is 36 beats per minute, and I have a lot of energy.

I hope that you guys get a jack la lanne juicer and use it. Don't buy a 400 dollar blender. They're junk. I quadruple blend-people's fresh fruit and vegetable intake, and get more than enough fiber.

I prefer a gravel and tree bark parfait chased down by some hardy rainwater.
Consciousness, that annoying time between bike rides.
