    Shoulder protection / brace?

Okay, so years of bad moves in whitewater have left me with a bit of a shoulder problem. Dislocated my left one after doing a less than graceful superman impression through the woods Saturday. First time I've done it on a bike, but I've been through many dislocations (they're not all that fun).

So, anyone have a recommendation for some sort of restrictive brace that will work for mountain biking? Obviously need enough range of motion to ride with, but something that will at least limit hyper extension and the like?

I separated mine about two years ago and used this one from EVS:

Worked very well. I continued to use it for 6 or 8 months after. It is pretty flexible in the amount of support you have. If you really wrap the straps up, you can totally imobilize your shoulder and as you get better, you can increase the range of motion.

The only negative aspects were, first it's kind of hot. I used it over the winter and early spring seasons and was always sweaty underneath. Second, it can be tough to get it on and strapped down without a second pair of hands.

    Good luck!
