Teva Pivot shoes delayed. Current Pivots for sale online have a flaw

Right after Teva introduced their new Pivot shoes online earlier this month, a flaw was discovered that makes them not work well with Shimano cleats. Crank Bros cleats apparently work fine (I'm told).

(I'm also wondering if the Pinkbike review complaining of a lack of foot cushion over the cleat area was also a factor in this delay.)

Regardless, Teva appears to be updating the shoe design at this moment, for another release in the upcoming weeks.

Purchases of the earlier released Pivot now available should be wary of this issue.

ordered some new Teva Pivot shoes, waiting for em

Teva says they have updated their new Pivot design, and shoes are now available on their website.

Pivots currently available at other retailers might be the initial design that apparently included a flaw. Unfortunately, it will probably be hard to differentiate between Pivots made before or after this quick design revision.
(Which is a weird situation for all the bike retailers and us shopping for shoes, especially since this is a brand new shoe.
I also noticed that Shoebuy.com which did have an early supply of Pivots, no longer offers them for sale. I'd guess it's because of the design revision.
Anyway, I was told that CrankBros cleats were fine on the initial design, but SPD cleats were the problem that spurred the revision.)

I'm just happily waiting for my Pivots to arrive now, and friggin hope they fit well.
Despite the glitch with the release, I'm assuming they are well designed, and have something difficult to find with DH skate style clip-in shoes, GOOD VENTILATION! When my feet are way too hot, my whole body pretty much overheats!

I've been using the 5.10 Maltese Falcon with M647, they play well together.

Anyone has experience with 5.10 Minnaar and Shimano XT PD-M785 trail pedal?
I have the shoes and they work fine with the old 520 but would like to have a bit more pedal for the all mountains stuff.
