Selle SMP TRK? Anyone have one?
How cushiony is the padding on it?
-
Also, have any of you use the smp extra, the smp x-ray or the smp hybrid?

Ive ridden the SMP Pro, Avant and Plus and now own the Avant for about 3 years now. I picked the Avant becuase the width fit me best. Very quality saddles the "beak" is great for steep climbs. I would demo one if you can....check at Saddles & Posts they will ship you out a demo for $20.

I have used the SMP TRK and it didn't work for me. My go to saddle is the SMP PRO, it dissapears under me in no time. I found the TRK to be too wide in the back which pushed me forward on the saddle too far. This meant all the weight was on my taint. Not good.

Before is shelled out the big bucks for a SMP saddle I bought a TRK(appr. 1/4 the price of a real SMP). Way to wide and cushiony......but I liked it! TRK was more comffy to ride without bike shorts than with........finally I spent the money and bought a real SMP. Choose the one that is the right width for your sit bones! Enjoy!

How does the Avant version cushioning stack up to that of a Brooks B. 17?
