    seat post saddle clamp length

my post's clamp length for the rails is pretty short. its 7/8". where as the other posts I've had are 1.25"

its a cheap chinese carbon post. this is the zero set back one. I have the set back version of this post but the clamp is 1.25"

do you guys think its ok or should I ditch it? my last seat had metal rails and they didn't get bent. also, the bolt on the right is making a mark under the seat so I guess I should shorten it.

    heres a pic:
