Scott amateur/frame model/year,help......

Hi,I have just purchased a scott bike which needs a clean up and a lube but otherwise looks good but the person I purchased it off knew less than me about the bike and was wondering if its a keeper or a "sell it on",it's a bit tatty so will be giving it new tyres/grips/chain etc.
any assistance would be grateful as I'm a bit of a new boy
