Scalpel 3 or Stumpjump FSR comp ??

Can't decide on either bike to buy. I'm switching back to 26er from a 29er.

You are comparing two vastly different bikes. The Stumpjumper is a full on trail bike that can be pressed into service for all mountain and cross country riding. The Scalpel is a full on cross country bike that can be pressed into service as a light trail bike and not really too much more. Your decision should be based on your riding style with this one.

IMO, better choice; but then, I'm a bit biased -- don't care how good they might be, I'll NEVER recommend Specialized to anyone... don't like how they conduct themselves as a company. (Funny thing is, the Scalpel is one of VERY FEW C'dale bikes I'd recommend, as well! And NOW, having just looked at the C'dale website, I can say I'd recommend none!)
A bike is the only drug with no bad side effects....
