Heck yeah... but I usually identify them with old/heavy 10 speeds from the 70s... maybe early 80s. The ones with the steel 3 piece cranks. That day's equivalent of a Wallmart bike maybe (but much better than todays Wallmart bike!). I think they had some BMX bikes too. Mostly childhood memories for me and I would never have guessed the name is on something more modern. The vintage forum might be a better place for this question.
What kind of bike? I don't know, I'm not a bike scientist.

That's a pretty sweet bike. There is a Royce Union forum here on MTBR. They are better known as "Homers".

Oh, how I loved getting RU's like that in for repairs at the shop I used to work at. Talk about polishing a turd. When the owners found out it would be close to $100 to make their bike work, they usually said something like, "I didn't even pay that much for the bike!" and then they cursed us out and walked home... Good times.

I saw the bike on Craigs List in Boise Idaho. He had it for sale at 600.00 us.He also said in a reply to me that any respectable LBS would list it at 800.00 us.OMG! I had to climb back up off the floor and get back in my chair. He even said it would cost 25.00 to 50.00 to fix the tires and whatever was wrong with it to get it ridable.I can't get over it still! And they are still breeding!OK i feel better.Had to let it out,Sorry.
