Make sure the seatclamp is not too tight.

Was it collapsed when you received it?
Googling around, it is supposed to have 250 PSI of air in it. There is a valve in the bottom of the post. You could check the pressure with a shock pump. However, if it has leaked then I assume you will want to send it back.

it was collapsed when I received it, I don't have a shock pump but I guess I could try a bike shop.

I had a gauge that went to 160 and thought I would try that and it didn't have anything in it. It was leaking oil out the bottom as well. Does anybody know a good place to send it for a rebuild or is that going to cost more then just getting another one?

Believe a full rebuild to be around $150 from SRAM. See if the seller will go half way on it.

just got a pump and pumped it up to 250psi and still will not go up. Looks like a rebuild will run about $100.
