New question here. Rock Lobster Team Tig 853

Does anyone out there (probably in the UK) have a Rock Lobster Team Tig with the Reynolds 853 steel frame - sold by Merlin Cycles in the UK? The 2008 model looks like really good value with full XT groupset and a Reba Team fork, but how does it handle? What are it's weaknesses and strengths?

Any info and pics are welcome

    Strengths?
    • By all accounts it's a great bike and excellent value.
    • I might be wrong but I think the frame's made by Kinesis in Taiwan
    Weakness?
    • Difficult to try one out unless you live near to their shop.
    • Don't expect to get what you paid for it 2nd hand as they aren't as bling as some other makes.
If you're in the UK I'd check out the UK mountain bike forums too as there's bound to be at least someone with one.

I'm onto it RBG - you are correct - they're quite popular in the UK.

Who are Kinesis in Taiwan? Any good? (I think all frames are made in Taiwan though, aren't they?)
