    Oval Concepts M600 Seatpost

Does anyone have experience with the Oval Concepts M600 mtb seatpost for XC use? I'm thinking of buying one and am specifically interested in build quality, durability, adjustability and function. Thanks, Bryan

    Hi Bryan,

I've had one on my bike for about 10 months, and had no problems at all. It's light, looks good, doesn't slip on the Specialized Rival saddle, and hasn't broken or bent despite my riding. I'm 210 lbs, and have done a few races with it.

The clamp is perhaps fiddlier than a single bolt seatpost, but I haven't even looked at it for months... not since a big off that totalled my previous seat. Build quality is as good as anything I've seen before, and the 3D forging is cool.

I bought some M600 bar ends too (light, strong, textured for wet grip) and those have also handled my abuse very well. I'm now looking at an M600 stem and maybe some bars.

Very happy with the Oval gear.

    Cheers,
    Rich.
