New question here. OT: the mars volta

Just curious if anyone is into this band. Check out this video here.. The deloused at the comatorium was pretty out there. This sound is pretty (alternative) if you can still use that compared to what is on the radio.

They are OK, but I liked At the Drive In much better.

I've heard them a little on the radio. They kind of remind me of "And you will know us by the trail of dead...", with the whole melodic rock type sound. The comparison to "At the Drive in" also fits pretty well. One question: Is there some meaning behind their name? I've heard that phrase before, i think.

The link only took me to their website too, was there a specific video you tried to link?

video on that page. Gotta choose your player settings. I have know idea what the name means. I myself know little about this band. I like the sound though.

I could be wrong, but I think At The Drive In broke up and some of the guys formed Mars Volta.

    I'm confyoozed...

I've been hearing this song on the radio...female vocalist singing lyrics "I'l never sleep alone again"...bluesey kind of style. I went and googled Mars Volta and came up with their page but there's no mention of a female vocalist.

Sup wit dat....guest vocalist or something? Good tune I must mention.

I've seen this station play some Mars Volta, but havn't caught it yet. What I have heard I've been super impressed with. Radio as it should be, not what it's become.

The killers are so last summer already! Actually, I really liked them but got quickly burnt out--almost too catchy!. Just saw interpol two weeks ago and they are amazing. Them and the Stills are my favorite bands right now.

Hot Hot heat are here next week for $15. PM me on whether I should check them out.

Can't wait to see where the Mars Volta goes.
