Old Man Mountain rack fitting problem.

    Hey people,

I've recently gotten this Cold Springs Old Man Mountain bike rack for my hardtail mtb.
But I'm having a bit of a problem installing it.
My mtb has disc brakes, but the frame has the option for v-brakes.
And I'm supposed to screw the OMM provided brackets on those v-brake holes.

The problem I have is that the v-brake holes on my frame and screws, are 10mm wide.
And the bracket that comes with the rack has 6.5mm holes, so I'm unable to screw those on the v-brakes. You can see the v-brake holes on my frame in the pictures, they are 10mm wide.

But somehow I think I'm overlooking or missing something. Should there be an additional part fitted on the v-brake holes before I fit those brakets on ?
Or am I simply gonna have to find new brackets with 10mm holes in them ?

This is how it's "supposed to look":

Thanks for any help. I hope I posted this in the right forum section.

Your frame is missing the V-brake posts. Any bike shop should have them. Or you could just drill out the brackets.
