    This is odd.Barn full of bikes on our local CL ...

    1000 bicycles collection

    I wonder what the guy was doing? And where he got the bikes? It looks like he just kept them in a big pile.

    So sad. All of those bikes and none of them are being ridden. If I had the cash I would buy them all and give them away to people.

    Good idea. I just passed along the contact info for a few of the community organizations in Vancouver that rebuild and donate bikes. Sad to see them go unused.

    When I was a kid there was a guy in Lemon Grove CA. who was a "bike collector". He wasn't really a hoarder because he sold bikes & parts, and I think he fixed them up if given a "rea$on". He had a large part of his collection down in an empty swimming pool that had a "roof" made of plywood. I'm pretty sure that when the freeway was widened his property was part of the "imminent domain". Huell Howser never put him on "California Gold".
