    Newbie NOCAL Rocklin CA

Hey everyone, Just checking in. Old BMXer now into MTB riding Nevada City, Auburn and Folsom.

Hit me up if you have some rides planned. I usually go with my wife (Ghost Lanao FS 2.7 130/130), but looking for some dudes to ride with periodically. I'll probably be bringing up the rear as I'm working on the cardio!

Welcome. Check out the NorCal forum for other locals. It's also the best forum on the site, FYI...

What Chuckles said. You've ridden Salmon Falls, I take it?

Not yet. Is it Skunk Hallow or Darrinton? I rode some of Sweetwater a few weeks back but it was a poison oak fest both sides and I got the heck out of there. My favorite is Hoot in Nevada City.

I was referring to Darrington, but I usually include Sweetwater when I say Salmon Falls. Sorry to hear it's Po'd up. That sucks.

Got a bud who rode Darrington proper and said it was way overgrown. Sad.

I hate Trump. **** that guy.

Welcome I am in the same area. Actually closer to Folsom Lake. There will be a race soon called mother lode epic. The Santa Cruz Bicycles Mother Lode Epic You might look into it. Lots of fun all in the same area the other guys are talking about. Cronin Ranch coupled with Salmon Falls is a good way to train for it. Big boy stuff. Cheers!

Seems Salmon Falls, aka Darrington was back in the day, the work horse of cross country trails in this area, now not so much. Auburn Connector, divide gets a lot more love for the locals. Last time I rode it, last Saturday, it wasn’t too badly overgrown. Good idea to take some soapy water and rinse off after the ride so you can keep the P.O. at bay.
