New to mtbr, and riding in general!

    Hi mtbr forum!

I am new to this forum, and new to the sport! I've been racing motocross since I was younger, and have wanted to get into riding bikes without motors for a long time! I finally got a screaming deal on a 2013 Specialized P. Street 2 ($900 bike at LBS for $275). It's a hardtail with hydraulic disc brakes. Of course, no great deal comes without some repercussions. I'm having some brake problems along with others, but this isn't the place for that! I'm from Ellensburg, Washington, so if you're around here hit me up! I go to school full-time, working towards becoming a paramedic. I work at the local fire dept. as a reserve EMT/FF, and as an EMT-B in a nearby county.

I'm really hoping to learn a lot, and start something I can enjoy for a long time! Also maybe some riding buddies who are willing to teach a newby some things Cheers!

Welcome aboard. You're not too far from some stellar dry side riding. Check out the EMBA website for some more info on local trails.

I'll check them out! The riding around here is phenomenal, at least for dirt bikes. So I'm assuming it's the same for mountain bikes! Thank you!
