keep your feet dry, throw some powder in your shoes, replace the sole inserts... In the summer wear sandals as much as possible...... Worst case replace your shoes.... Feet need to breathe....

If your feet sweat you can get Certain-Dri to dry them out. It's over the counter. Moisture=bacteria=stinkfoot. Also consider getting another pair of shoes to alternate between rides so they have time to dry out completely.

Ask your doctor for a prescription. I usually write for erythromycin topical solution. Applied twice per day for about a week and it'll kill the odor-causing bacteria. Also using a drying agent (e.g., Certain-Dri) as mentioned above helps if the cause is from excess sweating.

    try some soap and water

seriously, scrub 'em good...and wear some flip flops...air those guys out...and try a new pair of shoes...once the bacteria or fungi take a hold in the shoes, it is hard to get 'em out...
i had a cousin who always wore shoes, day, night all the time and would sleep in his socks, never let his feet air out any...they were awful,

NEVER wear the same pair of socks more than one day, workout or no workout.

Buy new socks if you wear cotton ones. I've noticed that something happens to the cotton over time that washing and bleach can't cure (resistant spores or something). Not your riding socks (can get expensive) but daily wear socks. Get new shoes too if they're old and if not alternate them frequently.

When I buy a new pair of tennis shoes I always buy all new socks. It eliminates odor problems for me.

Take off your bike socks right after the ride, they don't absort sweet as well as cotton and I found out that cause very heavy smell.

I hear ya! For some reason, when I got a new pair of shoes (I think the problem is they're Gor-Tex), my feet started to smell like buttered popcorn at the end of the night. No kidding, freakin' buttered popcorn! My wife says its more like a butter-cream frosting scent. Either way, its totally wrong.
