I last caught a race on TV about 3 years ago forget what channel it was on...but very rare indeed.

Haven't seen any channels that show MTB races. Netflix has a pretty good selection of MTB DVDs though.

Univarsal Sports network shows them sometimes. I've caught a bunch of DH races from Europe. They're on, but the coverage is less than fantastic!

I know Universal Sports also carries a bunch of road races when they are in season. Pretty much any of the major tours which Versus does not have the rights to.

You can check out http://freecaster.tv/MTB. OLN (now Versus) used to have some, but haven't seen any scheduled for more than a few years now.

Versus doesn't even cover the spring classics (road racing) anymore like the used to. Cycling.tv covers a good number of cyclo-cross, road and mountian races for an annual viewing fee.
