New question here. looking to get Dainese knee guards...

I am ready to buy some shin/ knee guards for some AM and light FR type riding. Looking for some that are breathable and comfortable for some hot sunny days, easy to put off/on, and not restrict pedaling.
I've never owned any safety gear of this type so I am really going off of the feedback given on this forum. That being said, Dainese 3x knee guards seem to fit the bill.

Searching for them online, I have found several guards that Dainese seem to make. What are the differences between them? Or are they the same thing just different name based on year release (they look the same)?

also I am open to other suggestions. What has me slightly concerned is that some complain about the guards slipping around. I really what whatever guards I get to stay put especially when I pedal -- I am afraid that I won't wear them if they start to get annoying.

    I appreciate any feedback, thanks!

They're the same. They also market white elbow guards to their snowboarding buyers under the same names.

I personally use MSR knee guard. I like the jointed "knee brace" type format, even though it's not a knee brace. I just feel the pivoting armor is a superior safety design since it has no gaps, and the thigh guard goes even higher than the Dainese, which can help keep them in place with the higher straps. But I also wear DH boots which they sit in, so I have no slippage problems.

I stumbled across this video which I thought was a photo. The reviewer is wearing Dainese 3x elbow and leg armor. http://www.flickr.com/photos/14569928@N07/4977865572/

That's what I wanted to hear.

I just ordered them, free shipping + best price I could find:

Good find on the video, helped see how the pads moved about (rather didn't) when he was moving/squatting.
