Light Bicycle CF water bottle cages review.

Light Bicycle (LB) makes cheap frames, rims, wheels, water bottle cages and other things in China. I bought some wheels from them and decided to try a couple of their cf water bottle cages too because they are light, cheap, look good and shipping would be free for me because they could throw a couple of them in the box with my wheels.

Today I got the wheels and the cages. The cages are very light and stiff enough and look great. I don't know what it would cost to ship a cage to the USA but if you are buying something else from LB I recommend their water bottle cages too. Be aware that I'm not a water bottle cage expert but I know that at my LBS cf cages cost six times what I paid for one from LB.

Light Bicycle CF water bottle cages review.

    Thanks for the heads up.
One of the most common failures on cf cages are the bottom tabs that the bottle sits on.
Let us know how these cages work out.

Thanks for the caution about the tabs. I didn't know the bottom tabs can be a weak link. On one of my cages, the one I'll use on my mtb, the bottom looks significantly stronger than the one I'll use on my road bike. Anyway, since I always stop to drink, I won't be slamming bottles into the cages. So, if you don't hear from me, don't assume the cages are strong this way. And don't assume I won't find a way to use two negatives in one sentence.

Still tough to beat a Cateye BC100 plastic cage.
Light (~40g), cheap ($6-8), unbreakable, and never drops a bottle.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common

Light, cheap, and strong but no carbon coolness factor.
I got some bad ideas in my head.
