That is me about 4 years ago at about 220lbs. Because my cancer was in my throat, I've lost 70 lbs since March this year due to not being able to eat & general feeling lousy.

I surprised a bear around a corner. She swiped at me out of reflex and I dodged out of reflex. I thought she missed me at the time. When I got home, my jacket was shredded but my shirt wasn't ripped at all. She just barely touched me but it sure left a nasty welt.

I've had several run-ins with the same bear over the years. She lives on the property where I built the middle school trails. We actually get along quite well. Mutual respect.

There's no point. They won't come when you call them anyway.

    The kids named her Mama.

I just figured sine you've had some interactions with her that you might feel something for her.

    But "Mama" is good.

The same kids named my wife "B|tch". They liked the bear better... me too.

Thanks Ninja! Too bad I blew it last night. All that was needed was that one line 'itchy back'....

    (I was too excited, obviously)

and while I'm at it, why did you rub the buddha so much that you had that bald patch showing in the pic?

Maybe it was his wife rubbing it for good luck.

    You're not fat, are you?

I was fat for years. Where your fat rubs against your clothes, you rub all the hair off.

No problem now. It all fell off on it's own and hasn't grown back yet. Fortunately I didn't lose the hair on my head.
