I just got back into bikes after 25 yrs without one.
I am doing it for both the cardio workout and to lose 40lbs by Thanksgiving. I have been lurking a while and with the help of this forum I have already lost almost 10 lbs in 4 weeks of riding.
I have a 2013 Specialized rock hopper expert. I have completely changed my diet and ride an hour a day on weekdays and 2-3/ day on the weekend. I forgot how much I enjoy riding. I do about 50/50 trails and road.
I am 6'1" and started at 240lbs. now about 230 lbs. my goal is 200lbs. At that point I will evaluate my finish goal. (Probably 190lbs) the reason I chose Thanksgiving is because where I live that is about the season ender. looking forward to sharing with all of you .
