Just a new member saying "hi"

The forum kept reminding me to make my first post, so here it is. I've ridden a mongrel 26" hardtail for years and have always loved hitting the local trails. Last month I finally upgraded to a carbon full suspension 29er and, since my closest LBS just closed up, I knew I needed to learn some new skills regarding tuning and maintenance. So this is where I ended up. I've always wrenched on my own bikes but air springs, hydraulic brakes/thru-axles and the like are all new to me. Been enjoying reading up on here.

That would be a Star Blazers / Space Battleship Yamato reference, for anyone that also grew up in the 80's.

And apparently there's a sticky for intro posts. Oops.
