    Iron Horse MK III Comp?

Looking to buy a 2008 Iron Horse MK III Comp. The company is out of business. The bike is in great shape. In the event that something breaks, is there anything on the bike that can not be fixed? (other than cracking the frame) Do I have to use Iron Horse parts or can I interchange them with other models or parts? Thanks

That frame is well known to have quality issues - a lot of cracked chainstays IIRC. I'd stay away from it.

It may not be a bad deal if the price is discounted enough to offset the fact that you may have to buy another frame at some point. Most parts on a bike can be transferred to another frame. Potential problems areas are: different size seat posts/front der. clamp; the fork's steering tube length; shock (for a fs).

Does anyone know if the DW system can be replaced, bearing/bearing kits, or derailer hanger?
