This morning there was a Cyclocross race in woodland hills put on by Scary Fast (Rocketparts.com) and Amgen cycling. I dont think anyone knew he was going to participate - it was sort of last minute, although there were apparently rumors the day before. Mark Noble was also racing (he is the State CX Winner and placed 1st in Masters Men 40-44 at last weekends CX Nationals). It was neck and neck the whole way at this mornings race. In the end Lance pulled ahead of Mark on one of dismounts and that was it. check out the pics that follow... (Lance is in the yellow - Mark in the Santa Hat). I believe Antonio Cruz was there as well - racing in the USPS jersey. I am sure there will be more to come and I will post links to them I as I get them.
is great to see him at that kind of event, with his credentials he has no real reason to be there or any where for that matter.
Its like Micheal Schumacher racing at the Nationa of Champions race this year. These guys just love what they do, sometimes they would do charity races for free
Some people think that Lance will go back to pro Triathalons after pro cycling.IMO it would be cool to see Lance in an pure cycling sport. Promote bicycles by racing CX or XC. How about a new record Iditrod run?
Yeah I gotta question. You got any excuses tonight Roy ? -Antonio Tarver
There is room for it all, just ride what you like to on what you like to...that's freeriding. -rbn14

Yup.... MS even raced against a Eurofighter!!!!!! (Sadly he only won 1 out of three rounds)
Had you ever wondered what push guys like Michael Schumacher, Lance Armstrong or Valentino Rossi to continue winning??????
Any of them have all the bux they and their grandchildren could spend having a more than comfortable life, all the titles anyone can ever dream of, broken all the records available... and though they still race like they were after the first title.
Look how Lance destroyed all their opponents this year on his 6th TDF, look how embarrasingly easy Schumacher won his 7th title, you gotta love what you do to do so.
that knows no limits, for them or their equipment. All of them have that regardless of the sport. Champions of past had it too, Mick Doohan had it, years back he had won another world championship with like two or three races to go and he crashed with his teammate on the last lap because he wouldn't backoff.
Is not about the money, I'm sure they love it and enjoy it but at the end is all about winning, been the best there is. Like Steve Prefontaine use to be.
