Heavy chain or cable and a good U lock. Lock it to the frame of your vehicle or a large tree.

Stuff the bike in the car, and lock things up if you're really worried.

You're not going to be camped close enough to the car?

I have my rack lock, and two smaller u-locks for whenever i'm forced into leaving the bike(s) on the roof/in the car. Won't stop anyone really determined, but it'll slow them down, and make a lot of racket. Hopefully enough to attract attention.

    Products - Motorcycle Locks - 8295DPSCC - Master LockĀ®

I loop this through the frames of the bikes on the T2 and then to the receiver hitch. Also lock the T2. Even then, the bikes are never really out of my sight for too long.

Make sure it is well insured, record all serial #s etc., keep it out of sight to the casual passer-by, whether by parking the car somewhere off the beaten track, or by putting the bike inside the vehicle, then lock it up as well as you can. Did I suggest that you insure it well? A determined thief will get it if they want it, best to try not to let it out of sight... get a dog... or a leopard... tie them to the bike...

Better yet, connect a electric fence device to your hitch and bikes. Make for nice crispy thieves.
