    Help with Bent Saddle Rails

Someone just pointed out to me that my saddle rails were bent and sure enough they are. He also noted that it looked like i had the saddle too far up in the rails (farther from stem)

I now know I ride it too hard (not getting out of the saddle through rough stuff) and i need to move it up a little more and can experiment with a setback seatpost and/or longer stem.

My questions is do I need to get rid of the saddle asap? are the rails being bent dangerous at all? I dont believe they are making any noise.

I'll try and post pictures later.

    Thanks

    Help with Bent Saddle Rails

Not sure if it's a safety issue but it is a posture issue. An uneven saddle can skew the load on your back and decrease the contact area meant to disperse pressure. If it were me I'd junk it. A good saddle can be had for $50.
Please donate to IMBA or your local IMBA chapter. It's trail karma.
