GXP Crankset Question - loose spindle
So, my CX bike BB was creaking like a mofo on a ride the other day. (I was riding my CX bike because the trails were wet). I found the chain ring was wobbling slightly when pulled back and forth against the frame. I pulled the crank out and found that the chain ring is loose on the spindle. Anyone know if that spindle is threaded into the chain ring star hub, or is it time for a new crankset? Tks.

I don't know why,... it's just MUSS easier to pedal than the other ones.

Thanks for the link - I had seen that thread from a search of the forums, but it doesn't really answer my question, which is the spindle being loose at its connection to the chain ring.

A pic might help, perhaps contact Truvativ. I think the spindle should be permanently fixed to that drive side crank arm. I wouldn't ride it until you figure it out, could be nasty if it fails outright.

You sure the chainring bolts are all tightened securely?
Sometimes, I question the value of my content.
