    grips and gloves combo?

ive worn out the grips that came with my bike, Specialized 'grappler xl'
i get sweaty hands and need good grips and def have to wear gloves, these grips were worn smooth in some areas and are slippery with gloves. Since im going for a big ride this weekend i figured i wouldnt wait to order online. I went to the LBS looking for ODIs but they only had specialized grips, happened to have the same exact ones i took off so i got them. figured they would be good enough.

One ride out and they were still felt kinda slippery, its like as soon as my hands get sweaty, even with gloves. Could it be the gloves? they are decent gloves (cut finger specialized) but are also prob 5 or 6 years old, is there such thing a grip'ier glove?

I use ESI chunky grips now. No gloves. Works just fine for me. My other bike has a pair of peat lockon grips that I did use gloves with.

I trashed my only pair of gloves last year sliding along the pavement after falling on my road bike. Haven't worn gloves since.
