good knee/shin pads for long skinny legs ?

i bought a pair of fox launch knee/shin guards, the large size, and i dont think the sm/med would have the length i need. I haven't ridden with them yet but ive got a good feeling they arent going to stay in place so im trying to decide whether to sew on more velcro to get a tighter fit or just return them and opt for something else.

ive got hairy legs which also lends itself to the pads sliding away, so maybe this is just going to happen with any other pads too?

im sure im not the first skinny dude to run into this...

Had same problem when I used to ride Moto.. I invested in hinged knee pads, worked a lot better.
I need to invest in some new pads myself, not sure why more people do not wear knee pads?

yeah absolutely, the knee/shin combo would have saved me some stitches last year. I wore some as part of the rental package at highland mtn in NH once that I almost walked away with because i forgot i was wearing them. wish i knew what brand they were
