New question here. Giro Semi Mx

    Hey

What do you think of the Giro Semi Mx? Is it cool I don't want something to warm because I will be doing some trail riding with it and also some freeriding. It looks pretty rad though the one with the red flames is sweet.

anyways tell me more about it.
    thanks

its not well ventilated, i had one. Sweat tends to pour down at fairly random times, all at once.
I know in my heart that Ellsworth bikes are more durable by as much as double. AND they are all lighter...Tony Ellsworth

They are best for cooler weather...

I use one in the winter and it works fine. In warmer weather it's way too hot which is too bad since it's the most comfortable helmet I have ever tried.

What would you recommend, I was thinking about getting the xen but it's way to expensive.

I love my Semis. I own 4. Wear them for 85% of my off road rides. They are a bit warm but I like the fit (perfect), comfort and added protection. Much better coverage than any other mtb helmet including the Xen. I have not had a problem with random streams of sweat. I usually wear a headband under it. I do not use the visor any more. I was getting neck and shoulder pain from holding my head up to see.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common

Get a Halo headband, then get the helmet you want. I love how they keep sweat from pouring over your eyes.
