    FOOD! #MTBMonday

    Hi all,

It's our #MTBMonday twitterchat tonight over on Twitter and we're asking - 'What's the best pre-ride meal and post-ride snack?

It would be great to get some of you involved. If you're on Twitter, join in by following us - @PureMountains or the hashtag #MTBMonday at 8pm UK time.

    Happy trails!

    Pete

    No twats here, either.

Pre-ride (the night before): big-ass bowl of pasta with lots of olive oil, mozzarella, and tomatoes
Pre-ride: (morning of): several cups of strong coffee (I love French roast!), one of them with a scoop of Muscle Milk in it
Snack: several handfuls of “bulk bin treats” (the kind you get for a couple dollars per pound at bulk food bins in specialty stores such as Sprouts and Whole Foods)
    After-ride: BEER!!! and Mexican food

Here is an example of the sorts of rides I am doing:

2,956 calories burned according to Strava, but Strava doesn’t compute a 16-pound wheel/tire setup on a fatbike.

Leo - when you say 'sprouts', do you mean actual sprouts, or is that a shop called 'sprouts'?

Depends on what time of day I'm riding but here goes:

Pre Morning - Scrambled Eggs and Malt O Meal
Pre Afternoon - Beef and Bean Burritos

Post Morning - Bagel w/ PB
Post Afternoon - Sandwich, PBJ, Ham & Cheese

I usually have a glass of sports drink before and after my rides.....that's a glass not a quart.
